What each status means

Read the status before you weigh the credential. Each one has a precise meaning, shown on the record itself.

VALID

The certification is current and in good standing. The holder passed the assessment and live verification is active.

LAPSED

The credential was genuinely earned, but its live verification period has ended. The earned date stands; treat it as historical proof rather than current standing.

REVOKED

The issuer withdrew this credential. Revoked records do not disappear — the page stays up with this status so the credential cannot circulate as valid.

How do I verify a ChatterCert credential?
Enter the credential code above, or open the credential link the candidate shared. Both resolve to the same live page on chattercert.com, which shows the credential, holder display name, current status, and course version. If the code does not resolve on this domain, it is not a valid ChatterCert record.
Are screenshots or PDFs of a ChatterCert credential valid proof?
No. Screenshots and PDFs can be edited and are never authoritative. The only authoritative record is the live credential page on this domain. Always resolve the code or link here before treating a credential as real.
How do I confirm the candidate actually owns the credential?
Use holder verification on the credential page. It asks the holder to confirm through the email the credential is bound to, and shows you a timestamped confirmation. This catches a real code being borrowed by someone else.

Lookups take you straight to the canonical credential page; this page never displays or stores lookup results. Whether a particular email address holds a credential is never disclosed.
